Create a simple Will

 

Please only use this service if you are confident in creating your own will. If you are unsure, please contact us to help you. Before proceeding and throughout the process, please refer to our guide to Creating a Will, and our checklist below. If you feel that your circumstances are not covered in this form, please contact us.

Before you begin, please ensure that you have the following information to hand:

  • Details for the Executor(s) (and any Reserve Executor(s)) that will deal with your estate when you pass away. (Your chosen Executors must be over 18 and agree to act as your Executors).

  • Details of any Guardian(s) that you are appointing to care for any young children that you may have. (Your Guardian(s) must also be aged over 18, agree to act and are entitled to take reasonable expenses associated with their role as Guardians from your estate).

  • Details of your financial assets and liabilities (debts). This is so that if needed, we can advise you as to the best type of will for your circumstances.

  • Details of any specific gifts that you wish to leave.

  • Details of the people whom you wish to leave the remainder (the “residue”) of your estate to.

  • Details of any charities that you wish to leave a gift to. Any gift to charity will reduce any Inheritance Tax bill for your estate.

  • Details of anyone whom you wish to specifically exclude from your will, and the main reason for excluding them.

  • Brief details of any funeral wishes, or any funeral payment plan, that you may have (optional).

  • Any other details that you feel are important to include in your Will.

  • A scan or photograph of your passport or driving licence to send to us as ID. If you do not have a passport or driving licence, please contact us.
